WHALE WARS
1. Who is "right" in the controversy involving whaling and the Sea Shepherd?
In the controversy involving whaling the people I think are right are the crew on the Sea Shepherd because these are people who would die in order to save a the whale population from extinction. But as much as we thank the crew for saving these whales, the whole brains of this operation all go to the captain of the Sea Shepherd,Paul Watson. Too, go to the question what the Japaneses are doing is not using the whales for research but killing to sell for big bucks. Some of the reasons why the Japaneses kill whales is because in their culture they rely on the fish industry because the oceans are one of the ways people make money.
That is one of the main reasons in this controversy because as us fellow Americans in our culture it is okay to breed cows, chicken, and other livestock in order to kill and eat while other countries have their own traditions, like in India the cow is worships and is wrong to kill and how in some parts of Asia many eat dogs, while dogs are mans best friends in the U.S. so can we say if Japan relays on the sea for food should we be judging what they are doing by killing whales?
The crew of the Sea Shepherd have their own opinions on what the Japaneses are eating because whiles are a species of mammals that only have one caff pregnancy. Whales are slow at breeding as like our mammals that can have more young. It even takes a while for whales to mature. So from hunting whales its real easy for a species to become endangered. That's why the crew has step up as those people who want to make a difference in the life of all the whales. So what I see that's is the wrong in this whole controversy is the Japaneses for attacking whales and laying about using the whales for research.
