PROUD PROJECTS

The work I'm posting is work I'm really proud at because this is work I can look back at and say this is what happens when I use my time wisely. This poster/calender is work I'm proud of because I was that good at Adobe Photoshop and on this project I finally got the hang of it. For trying and getting help from my peers I manage to crate high quality work.

The way I started this project was by making many drafts of the poster and then I had a idea of creating them to keep people aware of our oceans. I also manage to get help from my partner and with our ideas of then making posters for Surfrider. We started to contact Surfrider to see what they though of us creating posters for them. We then waited a few days and then they got back at us and we got dates for their events like chapter meetings and beach clean-ups. Then it was the begin of using Indisign but it was good and it was confusing, so we then started using Photo shop and our first drafts were hits when Bill Hickman came to critique our drafts. Then we played with the fonts to get a nice looking poster with a photo as the background.




The next project I was proud of was my American Icon project because I explain how San Diego's own Shawne Merriman and weren't so different. I made connections on the times I played football and how I was like a younger version of Shawne Merriman. I was even making connections of what we both played as and how we never gave up on the field and how we both would get our own team members pumped up before a game. I felt that my writing started to get more in dept, detailed, specific.I just felt that little by little my writing would start to get better. Thats why I was proud because my writing was looking better and sounding better.

The way my project fits with the whole American icon project is by all the requirements I followed but, even more how my icon impacted my life. The comparisons of me and my icon were what helped my story and my project standout. The way I tell my story through my photo and writing is by the jersey I have on and the football in my hands this is a clue that the story has to deal with football and how my life was a comparison to the life of Shawne Merriman. My writing explains my life struggles in football and how of a team player I was.
