I felt lots of anger not about Obama winning, but about me not being able to vote I was mad about it because this election was the one that made history. Even though I really wasn't supporting Obama I still think he can still make a difference and change the way we see the U.S. today by helping rebuild the land the founding fathers founded. These few years will be tough for him but I will give my support like others so that we can make the U.S. a better place. I wouldn't say I have a concerns for America but, the thing that worries me is the wars were in and about taking the troops out so fast because I've heard so much talk about getting troops out. I worry that if all troops come back that it would be like the U.S. leaving the back door open for another attack. Thats what really concerns me for this country. I wouldn't say me community is a pretty or ugly community but theres lots of crime and even if Obama won and says that change and peace would happen I still think that my community and others would never change because I feel its just a word that means that noting more then partying all night celebrating and thats what I feel might happen for the rest of the years the come. Just because Obama won we can do whatever we want, thats what I feel might happen people using a excess for giving rights to do whatever and taking the rights of others.
What I think my class and I done to get a better understanding of current events would have to be researching on that past events of American history and blogging about topics that connect the past and present and how many of these topics give us a a better understanding of the U.S. government. By what we have been learning in class I felt that this has gotten many of my classmates and I to open our eyes and see how politics and government works. The way I feel that we can improve our class is by going out and asking people how certain rights are effecting them in everyday life and how politics work and ways we can fix the U.S. and get a better understanding of other people and what they have to say about the U.S. and the things that are happening. I feel that many people have much to say because we all have our own opinions and thoughts of many events happening in our lives.
