Sunday September 14 the San Diego Chargers played Denver and ended with a bad call from one of the best refs in the NFL Ed Hochuli, which gave the final score 39-38. This was the day that many charger fans will never forget. It all started when Chris Chambers caught a short pass and hit the ground and he then was striped of the ball and it was called a interception because the review booth was broken, so the play had to stand on the field. Once there was a 1 minute 14 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter Denver's own quarterback Cutler fumbled the ball and then Chargers got the ball until Hochuli ruled the play an incomplete pass and blew his whistle. this is what ended the game with Denver betting the chargers. this was one thing that was plain wrong which many think wasn't a fair game and that they didn't treat one of the teams fair. The chargers didn't reach that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that game. Coach Norv Turner even was very disappointed with the call and said "We sent the plays in to the league that we had in question. . . . Anything that we talk about or anything that is discussed in terms of any of the rules or any of the calls isn't going to change the outcome of that game.""That game is going to be 39-38 forever."
